Turning this on asks your browser for permission once.

Paste that anywhere HTML is allowed. Free to use, no attribution required.

The countdown is anchored to a finish time, so it stays exact even if the tab is in the background. Press Test sound once so the browser lets audio play. Space starts and pauses, L takes a lap, R resets.

Pick a date and a time and this counts down to it. Exams, flights, deadlines, birthdays, launches, New Year. It counts in your own timezone, taken from your device.

Press Copy link and the countdown becomes a link you can send to someone. Whoever opens it sees the same target moment, counted from wherever they are.

A free online timer, stopwatch and countdown clock that runs entirely in your browser. No account, nothing to install.

It keeps working offline once loaded, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. Your settings stay in your own browser.

Press Voice control and allow microphone access, then speak normally. Your speech is handled by your browser's own speech service, and nothing is stored by this page. Allow the microphone once and switch this on once, and it stays on as you move around the whole site, in this tab or a new one. It switches itself off after an hour of not being used. The button always shows whether it is listening, and tapping it stops it for good.

  • "set a timer for ten minutes" starts a ten minute countdown
  • "five minutes thirty seconds" any duration, in hours, minutes or seconds
  • "half an hour" and "a minute and a half" are understood too
  • "start" or "resume" starts or continues the current timer
  • "pause" holds it where it is
  • "reset" clears it back to the set time
  • "stop" silences the alarm when it is ringing
  • "snooze" gives you five more minutes
  • "stopwatch" switches to the stopwatch, "lap" records a lap
  • "intervals" switches to the interval timer
  • "add five minutes" creates an extra timer alongside the first. It only stacks a timer when you say add, another or extra, so "ten second timer" sets the main one
  • "clear all timers" removes any extra timers you stacked up
  • "full screen" makes the display fill the screen
  • EnterStart, from the duration box
  • SpaceStart or pause
  • LRecord a lap in stopwatch mode
  • RReset
  • EscSilence the alarm, or leave full screen

Does it handle daylight saving changes?

Yes. The target is stored as a real date and time, and your device converts it, so a countdown that crosses a clock change still lands on the right moment.

Can I count down to something months away?

Yes. Longer countdowns display in hours, so a target several months out will show a large hour figure rather than days.
